Around 6:40 AM, the Merrick Fire Department responded to multiple calls reporting a house fire. On arrival, crews found a deck fire that had extended to the rear of the home.
Firefighters stretched two handlines, putting one into operation, and quickly knocked down the fire.
Thankfully, all occupants made it out safely.
All units operated under the command of Merrick 2nd Assistant Chief Miner.
